She also filed an FIR against her first husband, Shaleen Bhanot for dowry harassment and domestic violence in 2015. Shortly before her 2024 accusation of cheating by her second husband, Nikhil Patel, she remarried. To this, Dalljiet asked on social media how he could file such counter allegations if the allegations were true, if his claims are true, why no police statement was filed. In 2024 again Dalljiet Kaur’s second marriage to businessman Nikhil Patel went through troubled times. She charged Nikhil of having an affair with a woman while he was still with her. But Nikhil responded with a long message on Instagram denying the affair, but making serious counterclaims. ‘We had stated to Dalljiet and her family that I had not been legally divorced from the first wife before marriage,” he said. In fact, Dalljiet also complained that she left home with their son in Kenya as she could not get used to the lifestyle and missed the kind of attention she had been getting in India. However he also accused her of verbal abuse and calling her in the late night threatening.
